The Brave Dreamer Journey!

Dear Brave Dreamer,

I found myself in an interesting situation this week…! Recently, I became aware of a job that came onto my radar & caught my hearts attention… a job title I didn’t know existed… but the description fit me like a glove!

I know!!! I’ve already got a buuunch of beautiful dreamy projects that are filling up my days… but this job… got me… so I applied.😂 & quickly got short listed… 🤪 oops. 😏

I was scheduled to have my interview just yesterday… & looong story short… between myself & my interviewer… we had an hrs time difference to when the meeting was meant to take place which saw me drop everything I was doing, chuck my hair up quickly & jump onto zoom to meet my already waiting interviewer… yikes!!! He quickly explained to me that we had only a few minutes left to chat… so who was I…?! To which I, without thinking twice, presented a very fast nutshell description of who I was, what my ‘career’ journey had looked like to the present day to what makes my heart beat…! It was quick, unreserved & had absolutely noooo time to be filtered..! 😂 which I LOVE! 🙌🏻 from that moment, they have rebooked more time with me for further ‘get to know you’ time later this week… I’m feeling confident!😉

I was telling a friend this story this afternoon as we watched the sunset… he asked me if I had ‘freaked out’… to which I said no… but then went on to say how I just had no time to put any makeup on… so they truly got an ‘unfiltered, untouched’ Sarah! 🥴

My friend then asked if I was wearing makeup… in the afternoon golden hour… & sweetly said… ‘but you don’t neeeed make up…!’

Exactly! My! Point!!!

I have noticed a lot in this past season of life… the gift it is to feel soooo very confident in who I’am!!!

I mean… I feel safer, more secure… when others can literally just see ‘me’! Purely with the logic that if I was to put on a ‘persona’, that just meant more work to keep up the facade… &… well… in this life & with this slightly time consuming body of mine… ain’t nobody got time for that…! 😏

The confidence to be truely ‘You’ can most definitely come as a result of ‘refining in the fire’…! Woah. The amount of time spent battling in the shadows of the ‘behind the scenes’… that, my friends… nearly took me out so many times..!

But, I continued to lean into the lessons learnt… held tight to the ones around me that knew me deeply… & still do that even now! They truly are anchors in my somewhat ‘wobbly’ journey… & I know that the fruit of my decisions, if truly rooted in my pure intentions to be ‘me’… will always carry a sweetness to them..!

This photo below, was taken just a few short weeks ago. About to jump up as keynote speaker at a local conference… Brave Dreamer jacket on, bubbles in hand… & confidently being ‘me’… (running a muck…😏) just before I was introduced…! 😂🥴😏 I wouldn’t want to be seen any other way…

When you know who you are the pressure is off. The journey becomes free & the impact & influence on those in around your life speaks for itself…! ❤️
